Dr. Salima Ismail, President

Dr. Ismail has been in and around small businesses in Manotick for 20 years. Dr. Ismail's father owns Quality Cleaners in the Manotick Mews. She has had real life experiences in what goes into building a successful business and maintaining it at a successful level.

Professionally, Dr. Ismail completed her first degree at the University of Ottawa in 1992, her second degree at Carleton University in 1996 and went on to complete her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the North Western Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Presently, Dr. Ismail and her husband, Hafeez, own a Chiropractic and Massage Therapy clinic in Manotick called Chiromax of Manotick. Owning a clinic is a small business adventure and it requires all the same ingredients as a small business: quality assurance, customer service, fair market value, reasonable hours, proper marketing, networking and extraordinary effort.

Dr. Ismail is presently the president of the Eastern Ontario Chiropractic society. She has been the president for the last 3 years.

Dr. Ismail believes in having and achieving goals; leaving leadership roles better then she found them. She is a hard worker and willing to put in the time and energy into whatever she puts her name to, and the Rideau Chamber of Commerce is no exception.
